From the estate of John Joy, the Yorkminster Park Gallery proudly presents two dozen selected drawings and paintings by the venerable and versatile artist. John Joy is remembered as a talented artist whose perspective of life is still translated to everyone through his paintings. His exuberance for capturing the true colours of nature, the countryside, and towns throughout the world, was always revealed in his work. John Joy travelled and painted extensively across Canada, including the Arctic, Newfoundland and Ontario, as well as in Europe, Asia, and the USA. He was remarkably proficient in capturing his subject with watercolour, acrylic, and oil paints.
