Lester Randall Preaching Fellowship
For some years it was the desire of Rev. Dr. John N. Gladstone, then the Senior Minister at Yorkminster Park, to emphasize and exalt the ministry of preaching by establishing an annual Preaching Fellowship, making it possible to invite outstanding preachers of the Gospel from all parts of the world to preach and lecture at Yorkminster Park.
Through the generosity of the late Gerard H. Collins, a trust fund was established to meet the costs of the Fellowship each year. It was decided to call the Fellowship. The Lester C. Randall Preaching Fellowship, thus honouring the name of an outstanding layman and dedicated worker at Yorkminster Park.
The first annual Lester C. Randall Preaching Fellowship was held in the fall of 1987 with the Rev. Dr. A. Leonard Griffith as the guest lecturer and preacher. Since that time the Fellowship has been the occasion for some of the greatest preachers and teachers of our day both to lecture at Yorkminster Park and to preach from our pulpit.
