Orissa, Eastern India

Please pray for the Church in the state of Orissa in Eastern India where Canadian Baptists have a long history. Christians in Orissa are undergoing extensive attack. According to CBM, 31 persons have been killed, 45 churches burnt, and 2,000 homes of Christians destroyed in the attacks. On August 23 a Hindu Swami was killed and since that time Hindu fundamentalists have blamed Christians for his death and sought retaliation through violence.

Oasis Ministry

Donations Welcome - Oasis Ministry, an ongoing program at Dufferin Street Baptist Church, supported by Yorkminster Park Women's Ministry, will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, June 14, 2008.
