Sunday, December 24, 4:00pm

Bethlehem on Yonge St. - Live Nativity with animals, outdoors in the park at Yorkminster Park followed by hot chocolate and Christmas treats indoors. Bundle up to travel back in time and visit the Stations of the Nativity on the church grounds and meet the characters of the first Christmas along with their entourage of Christmas animals. Yes, the shepherds will be tending their sheep with angels singing nearby. The innkeeper will be guarding the doorway and the soldier's will be patrolling the streets. The magi with their camels will arrive from the east and at last Mary and Joseph holding the infant Christ will be trying to stay warm in a stable with their donkey close by. Once you have visited the stations of the nativity, you will be welcomed in to Cameron Hall for hot chocolate and Christmas music. Guided tours of the stations begin at 4 p.m. and continue to be offered until 5:30. Allow 40 minutes for tour and hot chocolate and be sure to bring the children.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service - A community of faith gathers together to recognize the light of Christ delivered as a little baby so long ago, and to share the light of Christ with each other and then take it into the world. It is a wonderful metaphor of the Christian walk that is incredibly renewing and unifying. At midnight the flame from the Christ Candle will be shared as the congregation sings Silent Night. The service will end shortly after midnight.

Watchnight Service - A watchnight service is a late-night Christian church service. It is held late on New Year's Eve, and ends after midnight. This provides the opportunity for Christians to review the year that has passed and make confession, and then prepare for the year ahead by making new commitments. There is a deep sense of blessing for many that they have begun a new year with their sisters and brothers of the Christian family in God's house.
