Berean Commentary

Peter Ferguson is a retired educator who taught in the former Scarborough Board of Education. He has been a member of Yorkminster Park Baptist Church since 1987 but his early Christian formation occurred in the Salvation Army where he developed an interest in theology and Biblical interpretation.

Every Sunday morning, Peter gives leadership to an interactive Bible study called the Berean class. To prepare for the class, Peter writes a verse by verse commentary of the Biblical text the class has chosen to study. Below are some examples of this writing. He hopes that it will help the ordinary reader understand the Biblical text in which God discloses Himself.
