Sam Lee joined the staff of Yorkminster Park in 2008. Sam came from South Korea in 1987 and grew up in Toronto. His formative years was spent at his home church, Young Nak Presbyterian Church where he gained his love to serve the Lord. He entered Tyndale Bible College in 2000 where he received his Bachelor of Religious Education and then completed his M.Div at Wycliffe College in 2008. During that time, he served as a part time Children’s Pastor at Holy Mountain Presbyterian Church, as a Day Camp Director for Knox Presbyterian Church Toronto and as a Youth Pastor at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Ajax.
Sam loves to use pop culture as a tool to teach the Bible and believes that the Word of God is relevant to the world today. He loves building meaningful relationships with young people and strives to provide spiritual nurturing to his “kids.” He’s one of those people that says he loves to read but doesn’t really read these days. He loves playing basketball, video games and other things that grown ups hold on to in order to stay young. Sam has been blessed with a wife that is his better half and two beautiful sons.
