Associate Minister
(Pastoral Care)

The Reverend Carolyn King

Carolyn King joined the ministry team in February, 2009 in the capacity of Associate Minister – Pastoral Care. She is thankful to be a part of a gifted ministry team and a caring church family.

Carolyn grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and is appreciative of her mother's strong and faithful support. She became actively involved in the church as a young student and appreciated the years the pastors of her church mentored her. She spent several years working within the church as a summer student and became passionate to share the freedom in Christ she had come to know.

She studied at Mount Saint Vincent University – obtaining her Bachelor of Arts Degree (sociology) and a Certificate in Gerontology. Sensing a call into full time ministry Carolyn continued her studies at Acadia Divinity College. She graduated with a Master of Divinity (2000).

Carolyn spent her first eight years ministering with the congregation of Bayers Road United Baptist Church, Halifax Nova Scotia. In 2001 she was ordained. Church life at Bayers Road Baptist was a very positive experience. Preaching and visiting were areas of passion.

Carolyn is married to Greg and is blessed to have a son in their lives. They place great importance on spending time with family. Carolyn enjoys reading and visiting with extended family and Greg appreciates spending time outdoors and cooking.
