CONVERSATIONS WITH A MONARCH<\/strong><\/p>\n

A butterfly landed on my shoe
\nI wasn\u2019t sure just what to do
\nBut then the monarch said to me,
\n\u201cI\u2019ve come along to walk with thee\u201d<\/p>\n

But why would it walk when it could fly?
\nSo here was I wondering, \u2018Why?\u2019
\nBut then the monarch said to me,
\n\u201cI\u2019ve really come to set you free.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A butterfly landed on my chest
\nwith a broken wing it needed rest.
\nAgain not sure just what to do
\nIt smiled and said, \u201cI died for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Now I hold it closer to my heart
\nYet still not sure just where to start.
\nA mere insect speaks with me?
\nSilly me, lost in a mystery<\/p>\n

A butterfly landed on a tree
\nperched on a leaf right next to me
\nsaying, \u201cFeed and cling to the life,
\nwhen all about you death is rife,<\/p>\n

For come what may, one day you will die
\nBut then you will rise up and fly!\u201d
\nIt closed its wings as if to pray,
\nAnd in an instant flew away.<\/p>\n

So grounded, wounded, I still may be
\nYet now I will cling to the tree
\nFeed from love\u2019s sweetest flower
\nTrusting heaven\u2019s higher power.<\/p>\n
