Happy Anniversary Yorkminster Park!

An amazing turn-out!
Many members, family and friends attended joined in the celebration. We were pleased to welcome a number of former members of our ministerial team and other staff members including:

Dr. William Sturgess regretfully was unable to be with us due to illness.

In our 11 a.m. service a number of former members of our ministry team participated in our service. The Rev. Dr. Bruce Neal offered some recollections, and the Rev. Dr. Das Sydney was our guest preacher.

There was a première presentation by the Minster Singers of Dawn King's setting of Psalm 150. We are deeply grateful to Dawn for sharing her gifts of composition with our congregation, and especially for this important contribution to our Anniversary Homecoming Service.

A huge shout out to Kim Aikenhead and her team of volunteers for organizing lunch. The Heritage Room was filled with laughter, reunions, and fellowship. There were also visual displays in the Heritage Room prepared by Kim, Dave King and Janice Ivory-Smith and in the Gladstone Library curated by Katherine Laundy, which generated a lot of interest.

We are grateful to the YP History Committee for their work in exploring our history culminating in some of today's displays. The committee continues to work and appreciates receiving any
historical documents, photographs, stories, or any other information you may have. The committee hopes to publish a book on our history in the not-too-distant future. The members of the committee are Paul Evans, (Co-Chair), Eric McGeer, (Co-Chair), Allan Williams, Paul Hill, Randall Speller, Paula Willis, and Peter Holmes.

Our Anniversary Homecoming Celebration truly raised the roof in praise for God's faithfulness!
