Minister of Pastoral Care

Rev. Dale Rose

Dale Rose began his ministry here in the fall of 2012. Prior to coming to Yorkminster Park, he served as the Senior Pastor of Lorne Park Baptist Church in Mississauga for 16 years. Earlier in his ministry he pastored churches on the west island of Montreal (Lakeside Heights Baptist) and in picturesque Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, where he was ordained in 1985.

Dale is a graduate of Acadia University (B.A. in English), and received his Master of Divinity degree from Wycliffe College, a seminary at the university of Toronto, in 1984. During his time at seminary, Dale served part-time on the pastoral staff of Blythwood Road Baptist Church in north Toronto, where he met his wife, Donna. They were married in 1983, and have three grown children.

Dale has given leadership in various roles with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec, Canadian Baptist Ministries and various ecumenical associations. He enjoys meeting people and loves to be involved in the local community. His life statement is: “The joy has been the journey,” based on the words of Philippians 3:13-14: “But this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.”
