Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is the backbone of our church community. It not only allows us to run wonderful programs and activities, and roots us in the fabric of our wider community, but it also enriches the lives of our volunteers through the joy of serving others and the friendship and fellowship inherent in working together.

To volunteer opportunities or for more information at Yorkminster Park, please click here or call (416) 922-1167.

Listed below are some of our immediate needs:

Camp Kits

It has come to our attention that families on welfare lack the funds to purchase the personal grooming items that their children are requested to bring to residential camps. We have been asked to assist our agencies.
Each kit should contain the following items:
1 toothbrush, 1 tube of toothpaste, 1 comb, 1 bar of soap, 1 small shampoo, 1 pocket pack of tissues and 1 washcloth.

Items should be packed in a small zip lock bag. Please do not include additional items such as snack food or games. As well, please avoid strongly scented products as some of the children in the tent/cabin have asthma or allergies.
The agencies welcome large size (shareable) sunscreen and insect repellent.
