Minister of Discipleship

The Rev. Robyn Elliott

Committed to the renewal of the missional church, and the redemption of culture, Robyn’s passion is to pursue the incarnation of the gospel in every facet of life.

Called to serve on the ministry team at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church in Toronto in 2016, as Interim Director of Discipleship, Robyn was ordained in 2018 and serves as Minister of Discipleship.

A lay minister for most of her adult life, Robyn graduated from Tyndale Seminary, Toronto, ON with a Master of Divinity degree in 2014. Prior to her call to Yorkminster Park, she served on the Teaching Team at Nashville Road Community Church in Kleinburg, ON.

Robyn’s fervor for critical theological reflection finds expression in her dedication to preach with cultural relevancy and an awareness for the churched, the un-churched, and the de-churched.

As a Spiritual Director, Robyn’s desire through scripture, prayer and exercise in the spiritual disciplines, is to create a safe, inclusive space for authentic intimacy with God and transformation of the soul; empowering others to identify the movements of the Spirit in their lives and relationships, thus discovering their gifts and their place within God’s greater narrative. She has authored curriculum, daily prayermail posts, hosted a spiritual formation blog, and led group spiritual direction and spiritual retreats.

In her spare moments, you may find Robyn curled up with tea, and a good book. Occasionally, with the excuse of visiting family, she can be found walking the beach in her native Barbados with husband Steve. Steve and Robyn have three adult children.
