Youth Ministry
“We want our youth to be joyful, committed followers of Jesus Christ, who are: 1. active participants in their local church
2. actively developing their spiritual habits
3. living out their faith in the world”
Worship
Purpose: to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever
What: Doxa
Where: Cameron Hall
When: 11am Every Sunday except 1st Sunday
We believe that worshipping God is critical in the formation of faith and therefore believe that youth need to worship God in their own way. Doxa has been a great way for our youth to hear the word of God and to participate in worshipping God.
On the 1st Sunday of the month, youth are encouraged to participate in the main service. There are various opportunities to serve such as ushering, scripture reading, offering collection, etc.
Discipleship
Purpose: tto help students become mature followers of Jesus Christ through Holy Habits & relevant teaching.
We are using a curriculum called “The Story” this year as a way to help our youth develop their Holy Habits. The Story is a chronological reading of the Bible and we are encouraging our youth to read a chapter a week of this book throughout the year. We are also encouraging parents to follow along with the reading so that it can engender “God discussions” at home.
Ministry
Purpose:to use our gifts to serve others. To be the salt & light of the world.
We believe that God has gifted all of us to make the body of Christ better. Please look below to see some areas of opportunity for you to serve in. If you do not see anything here that interests you but want to get involved in some other way, please speak with Sam for other opportunities.
Youth Fellowship
Purpose: to have fun with one another and to provide an atmosphere where we can build a sense of community. It is a great event where youth can bring their friends. Please note that these events are subject to change. You can find the most up to date information on our website.
