Berean Bible Study
March 6, 2022, 9:30am
The Berean Class has been meeting at the church in the Red Board Room for over 30 years. The Class is interactive. Because so much of church life has been stopped because of the pandemic, the Berean class has been functioning throughout the summer of this year using zoom. The average class attendance is 18. It is our hope that we will at some time in the near future meet again at the Church. Also, it is our hope that in the future those who cannot physically attend, will be able to participate in the class by linking into ‘zoom'. Led by: Peter Ferguson
Women of the Word
March 7, 2022, 11:20am
We will be studying the attributes of God each Monday from Sept 13th to Christmas, followed by a Bible study of the Gospel of Matthew until next June. The format includes the answering of prepared homework questions. From 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM is spent answering those questions with discussion and review, followed by at least 30 minutes or more for conversation, mentioning of prayer needs followed by a collective prayer time. Classmates are welcome to stay on the Zoom link for pastoral time and personal prayer. We take our study of God's Word seriously, yet we have time to get to know one another and have fun as a group. The group is mainly made up of more mature Christian women but we sincerely welcome seekers and new believers. We learn from one another about our awesome God and encourage each other in our walk of faith in God's Son, Jesus, the Saviour of all who believe in him. Led by: Suzanne Wilkinson

Anxious People by Fredrik Backman Viewing an apartment normally doesn’t turn into a life-or-death situation, but this particular open house becomes just that when a failed bank robber bursts in and takes everyone in the apartment hostage. As the pressure mounts, the eight strangers begin slowly opening up to one another and reveal long-hidden truths. First is Zara, a wealthy bank director who has been too busy to care about anyone else until tragedy changed her life. Then there’s Roger and Anna-Lena, an Ikea-addicted retired couple who are on a never-ending hunt for fixer-uppers to hide the fact that they don’t know how to fix their own failing marriage. Julia and Ro are a young lesbian couple and soon-to-be parents who are nervous about their chances for a successful life together since they can’t agree on anything. And there’s Estelle, an eighty-year-old woman who has lived long enough to be unimpressed by a masked bank robber waving a gun in her face. As police surround the premises and television channels broadcast the hostage situation live, the tension mounts and even deeper secrets are slowly revealed. When: Third Tuesday of each month from September to June (no December meeting) Where: TBD (Either the Friendship room and/or by Zoom) Time: 7:00 – 8:30pm
