Vision

We are a congregation who have established a place and a presence to worship God, proclaim the Kingdom of God and make the love of God in Christ known. Our plan to carry out this purpose involves structured worship, thoughtful spirituality, dynamic fellowship, creative teaching and caring mission.

  • Structured Worship
The worship of God is our first reason for being as a church. The elements of our worship are structured praise, prayer, Scripture and preaching. The aim of our worship is to nourish the faith and build up the body of Christ.

  • Thoughtful Spirituality We encourage thoughtful reflection on Scripture and provide occasions for increasing our sense of communication with God and strengthening our hearts and minds in Christ.

  • Dynamic Fellowship Our goal is a congregational lifestyle which respects those who are on a spiritual quest because of their sincerity; which welcomes children and young people to a warm and conducive spiritual home and family; which cherishes the elderly for their experience and wisdom; in which ethnicity is submerged in the new humanity of faith; in which the Gospel is preached in its spiritual and social application to life.

  • Creative Teaching We will maintain and expand a structure of Christian Education appropriate for all ages and for all stages, which facilitates a deeper knowledge of Christian narrative, doctrine and practice.

  • Caring Mission
The Gospel and love of Christ call us to evangelical, pastoral and social mission to our immediate city, community and to the ends of ther earth. We expect the spirit will lead us in strengthening our existing forms of mission and direct us into new creative forms of mission. We acknowledge that as fire exists by burning, the church exists by mission.
