Toronto's favourite holiday tradition returns! Yorkminster Park, in partnership with Citytv, proudly presents a joyful celebration of music and community in support of the Churches-on-the-Hill Food Bank. This year's lineup features singer/songwriter Barbara Lica, actor Jeff Lillico, and Breakfast Television host Devo Brown, plus the Toronto Brass Quintet, the Hedgerow Singers, John Wanless Grade 6 Choir, and the Yorkminster Park Choir. The Elmer Iseler Singers, the Amadeus Choir and the Viva Chamber Singers with Lydia Adams conductor, present Handel's Messiah. Orpheus reunites with the acclaimed Hannaford Street Silver Band to celebrate the holiday season in style. Hear your favourite holiday classics performed majestically by combined choir and brass forces, as well as former Scholar and rising-star mezzo soprano Alex Hetherington. Celebrate the season with beloved Canadian tenor John McDermott, Jason Fowler, Drew Jurecka, Maury LaFoy & Brian Macmillan and special guest Lawrence Gowan for an evening of festive music and heartfelt storytelling. This joyful concert brings together family, friends, and community in the spirit of Christmas. Free Admission – donations in support of Out of the Cold and the House of Compassion will be gratefully accepted.
Travel back in time as you join a guided tour to Bethlehem where you'll encounter the angels, shepherds, the Inn Keeper and Baby Jesus on this special night. Enjoy hot chocolate, homemade cookies and carol singing in Cameron Hall. Fun for the whole family! Come at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. A tour leaves every 5 minutes until 5:15 p.m.
