The Gladstone Library

The John Gladstone Library, situated beside the Friendship Room, has a wide selection of Christian books, from those written hundreds of years ago to contemporary ones. They cover a range of topics from Bible Study and devotional literature, spiritual disciplines, biography, history, and archaeology, to fiction. The Children's Library is a newer collection and is found on the second floor in the Family Ministries corridor, Room 209.

The Gladstone collection consists of books only. There are some volumes of history of Yorkminster Park, although most of these are kept in the church archive. The Children's Library has books, parent and teacher resources, DVDs and puzzles.

In 2021-22 the two collections were digitized to make them more accessible. Click on online catalogue to search the collections. To register to borrow books online, come to the Gladstone Library before or after service; otherwise, simply come in person to borrow books.

To find books on changing themes from the Gladstone collection, visit the book cart in the Narthex before and after Sunday service.
