A cherished Yorkminster Park tradition since 1933, Carols by Candlelight was Canada's first candlelight carol service. In the soft glow of candlelight, the Yorkminster Park Choir, conducted by William Maddox, Organist and Director of Music, and Sharon Beckstead, Associate Musician, offers a program of beautiful carols and seasonal anthems. Join us for our Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, a service that weaves together readings from scripture and beautiful choral music to tell the story of Christmas. Following the tradition of King's College, Cambridge, the Yorkminster Park Choir leads this beloved celebration of word and song, inviting all to share in the peace and joy of the season.

Bethlehem on Yonge
The Christmas Story re-enacted in the park at Yorkminster Park! Travel back in time as you join a guided tour to Bethlehem where you'll encounter the angels, shepherds, the Inn Keeper and Baby Jesus on this special night. Enjoy hot chocolate, homemade cookies and carol singing in Cameron Hall. Fun for the whole family! Come at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. A tour leaves every 5 minutes until 5:15 p.m.
